What is a blog?
The word “blog” was created as a shortening of “web log”.  In essence, a blog is an ongoing commentary, web updates, diary-type entries, blow-by-blow accounts, engaging stories, or other written posts.  Blogs are used by individuals to chronicle their fight of a life-threatening disease, by corporations to keep their employees abreast of new benefits or policies that may affect them, and they are used by businesses, big and small, to engage in conversations with their customers.  Blogs can be as short as a link to an interesting and industry-related article to a two-page explanation of a new service or product that you are releasing.

Why would I want to blog?
Blogging is a great way to create customer loyalty because you are reaching out to existing customers and prospects with relevant, interesting and TIMELY information.  Blogs can be updated daily, weekly, even monthly and can help strengthen you brand.

Another great reason to blog:
Google LOVES blogs!  When people are searching for applicable information on the web, Google and other search engines like Yahoo, MSN, Bing, and more, rate websites based on how often they are updated, how relevant the information is and how many people are looking at this information.  Blogs help you easily accomplish all three of these things.
